I would like to think that I am pretty straightforward in my posts here... I try not to skirt any questions and be as honest as possible. I suppose the problems simply arise due to personal issues between posters and arguments with valid connotations being sidetracked by semantics..... but I still love posting here. I've had some of the most fun and interesting discussions in my life here, and if it means butting heads once in a while, so be it. It's inevitable, especially with subjects as heartfelt as the ones discussed here. You can't worry too much about identity here. I don't care what Harv's name is, because it's immaterial relative to the material that is presented. I don't think the atmosphere of this forum is hostile, it's just occasionally intense. And we can't remove the occasional intensity without compromising the subjects being discussed. Personally I enjoy occasional tension, it livens things up. :)

With regards to the concealing of the most cherished beliefs, I would say that that is mostly a result of those beliefs being so emotionally grounded that it's difficult to express them coherently in words. But it's worth the extra effort.
