Splitting Hairs

Scott,

I have the exact opposite view. I don't think we split enough hairs. So much of what we disagree on is because not enough effort goes into defining what we mean. Of course, I think that we should be able to use general terms, but as the communication becomes more entrenched we need to really focus on exact meanings (e.g., truth, reality, logic, etc). Otherwise it's almost impossible to know what we are talking about.
