Scott,

I own and read that book, but found it to be very pretentious (Lord Kelvin-like). My bet is that science has a great future and the thoughts of John Horgan will probably embarrass him as Stephen Hawking's comment about his declaration over 20 years ago that a TOE would be discovered in 20 years (he has since gone on record as saying the 20 years is correct, but it starts from now - talk about crying wolf).
