Aurino, I disagree.

Disagreement is good!

Anyway, I thought you had finally figured out I was right in principle- re: children?

I never disputed the truth of your claims regarding our forgotten past. I think you're on the right track, absolutely.

But I'm not here to convince Dick of that particularly; I was just hoping he would return to some real debate like in the past, he has shown every ability to debate with Harv.

I haven't seen him debate with Harv, all I have seen is Dick offending Harv, and Harv snubbing Dick in return. Some dialogue!

I am frustrated by how much money it costs me to get some response from Dick.

Take my advice Alan, stop wasting your limited resources studying physics on the internet. Use your money for more meaningful things, like learning about art, religion, foreign cultures, history, and a multitude of other subjects which enrich a person's life. Physics is just a game that is as complex as it is irrelevant. Like baseball, you can always have some fun with it, but don't be foolish enough to think you can compete with the pros in their field.

(I'm not a pro myself, but I like to have some fun booing them when they miss a hit)

If it didn't cost me money, I would be under much less pressure over this. Of course I don't have to try for the short cut of talking directly to Dick; I could slave over his paper and try and figure it out line by line. But he does not insist Harv do that; so it cannot be a necessary ingredient to discussing the paper.

To be honest, I really don't understand why Dick keeps talking to Harv, as Harv has made it clear that he's not interested in what Dick has to say, especially if it goes against what Harv believes to be true. I suppose they just want to have some fun.

I thought I had got somewhere in understanding it. An expert mathematician has looked at his paper and confirmed that I am on the right track. I'm not used to being treated so unreasonably; so I have been reluctant to believe Dick would never be considerate of my plight.

Boy, I feel sorry for you! It sounds like you're expecting someone will give you The Final Answer.

Life, the universe, existence, God, all that is a mystery, Alan. Always had been, always will be. Don't try to solve it, everyone who tried failed and you'll be no exception. Just revel in it, marvel at its beauty and its glory, thank God every single day of your life and trust Him that everything's gonna be fine. Everything else is just folly.

I do not subscribe to Dick's religion.

But you seem to subscribe to the we-can-unravel-the-secrets-of-the-universe religion. The same religion physicists subscribe to.

You have not addressed the complaints I made about his inconsistency.

Well, I'm not a spokesperson for him, just his pro-booing pal. We have a lot of fun booing while the others cheer, that's all.

If you want join the booing chorus, you are most welcome.
