Dick,

Alan said: "What Dr. Dick seems to be saying to Harv is that he is interested in considering not WHAT is communicated; only the PROCESS of communication itself."

You said: "I am interested in *creating* a general (internally self consistent) *model* of what *can* be communicated."

It seems to me that a model of what can be communicated would be a model of the process of communication itself, just as Alan says. What am I missing?

I'm pretty sure that you are not talking about the information itself, since your model is completely independent of the information. It works as well with any set of information from any source. If I understand you correctly, your model is a method of displaying any information. This seems to me to be another way of saying that your model describes a method of communication.

Warm regards,

Paul
