Paul,

You said, "this seems to me to be another way of saying that your model describes a method of communication"; whereas I would have said "... describes a universal way of perceiving the result of any communication". That is, it provides us with a universal foundation of concepts against which any specific communication can be analized!

No big thing but I think somewhat different.
