Only during longer time such amount of energy as 2mc^2 = 3.4x10^-27 kg x c^2 can be defined mathematically for a wave-like object.

By the way, proton (and antiproton) life time is practically infinite - so far proton decay have not been observed. 2x10^-27 sec is the allowed by wave mathematics time within which p+p- pair can not be detected yet. For e-e+ pair it is 4x10^-24 sec (electron is 2x10^3 lighter) and so on. For a photon pairs it can be ANY time by the way, depending on the energy (thus frequency) of the photon - say for low energy radiowave photon with 1Mhz frequency it is 1 microsecond, for f = 1 Hz photon - 1 second, for f=10^-3 Hz photon - about 20 minutes and so on.
