IQ Doesn't Make The Mark

Aurino,

A person of a (very) high IQ doesn't necessarily excel at the subject at hand. I suspect that Murray Gell-Mann is an example of a physicist with a very high IQ. He was so intelligent that he used to think that Richard Feynman was stupid at every field besides physics. However, I think Richard Feynman excelled his generation of physicists more than any other because he was pure genius. Not IQ genius, but a pure creative genius that IQ tests don't readily classify as the highest of any category. You score well on visual perception, etc and there is a possibility that you will outscore a Feynman who excelled at something in particular (I think the same could be said of Einstein).

People with high IQ's don't impress me. People who are creative geniuses, now they impress me. How do you recognize them? That's the trouble, sometimes you don't.

Warm regards, Harv
