Physics simplifies in higher dimensions, yet we do not experience higher dimensions.

Feymann's QED solution requires virtual positrons coming back from the future, yet we do not experience the future.

As you say we hardly experience the past. Most of us just live in the present. Fortunately, most of the important aspects of the past are written down, so we need not repeat previous errors.

Except for science. We have no record of all the choices nature made to get us here.

Simple string theory in 26-d is most likely the theory of everything. But it says nothing about our present existence. We have to derive or somehow reproduce how this extremely simple theory traded one force in a multitude of dimensions, including two time dimensions, for a multitude of forces in 4 dimensions, one being time in which nature is extremely complex.

Complexity cannot be avoided even if the simple solutions are found. I think we alrready have the simple solutions. We just do not know it because we cannot evolve complexity out of simplicity- at least not mathematically.
