I do not like to speculate because the facts have not occurred in the manner as you have suggested. But is seems, to me, that the US may be able to do a better job of getting rid of terrorists. The answer to your question would most likely be: No, the US would not call for Russian help because the Russian military may hinder their efforts because of their track record in their lack of efficiency.
