No one is making a connection to Afghanistan here. I was just pointing out that Chechens are not necessarily terrorists. If Russia and the Europeans listened to the Chechen’s plea for a hearing and an understanding then they (the Chechens) would not be in the bind they are in now with the Arab backed militia.

From what I am able to deduce (terrorists are generally composed of ware lords who are militarily weaker than the current superpowers. These wore lords use any means to help the groups they are hired to help.) The Saudis hire the U.S. forces to defend them and the Chechens hire Saudi dissident groups to defend them. Unfortunately it all stems from greed.

The situation in Chechnya has nothing to do with religion. It is all about territory and oil pipelines.
