Since When Chechnia Became Different Than California?

Or Alaska? (By the way, you are WRONG about oil -Alaska has much more oil than tiny Chechnya. Also, most of Caspian oil is concentrated in Azerbaijan, not in Chechnya. Azerbaijan sells it to russia, but Chechens periodically blow the pipe Azerbaijan-Russia, which does not even belong to them. Learn geography a little.)

About oil. Russia is LARGEST exporter of oil and natural gas. Most of its oil and all its natural gas comes from Siberia. So, Russia in no way is desperate for questionable amount of Chechen oil (if there is any).

And since when Colorado, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, California, and many other states which all never belonged to US (but to Mexico and to native Americans) become DIFFERENT than similar parts of Russia?

So, why don't you learn you country's history first?
