I think that the cure is worse than the disease in this case. On one hand we have selfish, stupid people, on the other hand we have billions of government controlled worker-zombies. If the engineering program you refer to would be government run (and I don't see any other way to do it) you would think the government would do more than just make us giving and kind. Regardless of whether or not the genetic code is divinely inspired, there is something there that can do us damage as a culture if we tamper with it. |
