I am British and there is no doubt that Americans went to the moon. We have people in this country who believe it was an hoax but 99.9999999% of the British know it really happened. I think we take these fringe nuts a lot less seriously than you do.
Have a look at www.badastronomy.com for some counter arguments. The people who believe this are the same people who believe in alien abductions and pyramids on Mars.
If they want something exciting and mysterious they should look up at the night sky and learn about the universe. There are enough amazing things up there. I think you have to bear in mind that there are a lot of people with strange ideas who crave attention. Putting men on the moon was one of the greatest achievements, if not the greatest, in human history. Don't allow these fools to rob you of the pride and glory you deserve for achieving it.
