Mirror Star Diagonal Vs. Prism?

I need a new star diagonal for my 80 mm rich-field refractor, and wonder whether a mirror star diagonal will give me appreciably better image quality than a coated prism?

Also, any brand preferences. The barrel size is 1.25" Thanks!
