Primarily most people say to get a larger scope because if by doing so, it may "capture" a new hobbiest in Astronomy. I realize myself that most folks can only afford small 60mm or even 70mm and if their thirst for the night sky continues then the scope will be well used. In your case you are defending a telescope that most "old hands` consider inferior quality. Perhaps. But if you use it enough and learn to adapt to it then you`re doing alright. Most of us learned and started on cheapo scopes. They have their purpose I guess. Your opinion is well noted. Clear Skies!!
