Yeah your right Kip. I think when we try to talk poeple out of buying "inexpensive scopes" It`s just trying to help them avoid the same mistakes others have made. I started with a 60mm scope I bought used for $40 I used it for a week. I bought a Meade model 4500 4.5" reflector. It was Light years better.

There is a certain limit to how cheap a scope you can buy that is somewhat useable. You really have to spend at least $250 - $300. Now I wish I would have gotten the 6" Dob instead of the 4500.

But that was a long time & 6 scopes ago.
