Hmmm. I Should Widen My Horizons.

It seems that I must pay a lot more for a decent refractor. However, wanting something portable, I would consider spending a little extra on a minimum 6 inch Dob. But Dobs are great if you have really dark skies, which I don`t have! Anyway, I`ll keep checking for reviews before I`ll consider splashing out my money. Anyway, even with a dob, I can still use it for observing planets. I have looked at reviews for the Celestron star hopper, but, like the Meade starfinders, it uses a plastic focuser, which I am concerned about. What is your opinion?
