Instead of getting a finder scope, get a Telrad. They`re forty bucks. Meade scopes come with Kellner type EP`s. You need Plossls. Use a shorty Barlow (2X). Collimating tool wouldn`t hurt either. You do realize you could have bought a 6" SkyQuest from Orion for the money you paid for the Meade. Just a thought. Also on the tripod, if you have aluminum legs, fill them with sand. If they are wood, hang a weight from the center and attach chains from leg to leg. |
