"Dark Matter" is just a term used by scientist for the dense hydrogen clouds in the galaxy. Light hits these hygrogen molecules and scatters it everywhere. This was confirmed some time ago.
Our eyes cannot pick up certain color spectrum from weak or far away sources. This is true just by taking a long exposure with film. It picks up certain light we cannot see. Dark matter is very dense. Like lead, X-Rays cannot penetrate it, too dense. Light is effected in many ways concerning gravity, distance and reflection capabilities. I`m not sure, but it seems you need more information on matter and light.
