:"Dark Matter" is just a term used by scientist :for the dense hydrogen clouds in the galaxy. :Light hits these hygrogen molecules and scatters :it everywhere.

Are you sure you`re not thinking of Dark Nebula? I`ve always heard that what you`re describing is a dark nebula, and dark matter is the "missing matter" (about 90% if memory serves) that would account for galaxies rotating the way they do.
