I was out a little last night (3/18/02) and played with the barlow. I tried a 20mm and than the 40mm with the 2x barlow. I did this with other similar eps like the 20mm barlowed and the 11mm. It seemed I got better views or at least as good whenever I used the barlow. As I stated before, the barlow has improved all my eps.
Of the accessories I recently purchased the barlow seems to be the most useful.

When using the 40mm alone, I have to pull back a good bit from the ep or else the image is not good. The view appears with a lighter background when I pull back, but when I move my eye up close the view is dark in some spots, and lighter in others.

What do you make of that?
