For $2000 there are many nice scopes you can get. If it's just size your interested in, you can get a big Dobsonian. Be carefull of thoes, they are big and heavy. A truss mount is good but they run a lot more. You can probable get between 12" and 16" if you look around. Check out www.astronomy-mall.com for many companies making both truss mount and standard Dobs. If you want computer drive, the Meade 8" LX90 SCT is right in your price range $1700. This will leave you a little extra for eyepieces. Check that one out. There are tons more, start looking around and get back to me.
