I know the Dobs have nice apertures, and that Meade has cancelled production, so, Id wanna get a piece of the large apertures for a cheap price anyway! I wouldnt use the Dob for photography, once i really get down to the basics with tracking on my 114GT, I can get decent pictures of a few planets, the Pleidies(probably spelled wrong), but, Im just curious of which telescope that youve ever looked at had the clearest picture.
