I have stripped some gears on the RA drive of my 30-year-old C-14. I did it by leaving it powered up with encoder cables attached, which then wrapped around the scope over the next couple days.

Dumb, huh?

What's the best way to get the gear assembly replaced or repaired? I'm close to the Celestron factory. Is that the best way to go about this?

Steve
