Need Helping Setting Up Older Adv Astro Master

Hi,

I've just purchase my first real telescope, an 80's vintage C8. It came with and Advanced Astro Master box but no instructions for it. My question is regarding two setup screens requesting numbers in the format #+/-0.0000. I believe this has something to do with the encoders but don't know what to enter here. There are 2, numbered 1 and 2 which seem to coorespond to the dec and RA. Any help would be much appreciated, Thanks,
