Not true.
The Celestron, has fractionally higher transmission in the green, than the UHTC Meade scopes. The Meade coatings, give a slightly flatter response, that beats the Celestron coatings at the red, and blue ends of the spectrum. The average transmission of the entire scope, across the visible spectrum (two mirrors, and two air-glass coated surfaces), is about 1% better for the Meade units.
