Gentlemen.

In all fairness, comparing a vintage C11 with starbright coating to a new LX200 with UHTC is moot.

1. Celestron does NOT manufacture scope to the quality today that Meade does. PERIOD!

2. The Mount of an LX200 is far superior to ANY mount except the Ultima 2000 which Celestron no longer manufactures.

I personally own a Super C8 Plus with original fork mount and AC drive, and it will continue to function far longer than any modern scope now made, but will NOT track nor allow for a purely stable platform for astrophotography.

I think this really answers the question.
