Hi Cookie,

If you check out www.mapblast.com you can enter any address and get coordinates. It lists Lakeland at 28d 2m N, 81d 58m W. I usually reference www.time.gov to get local time; it also shows the offset to Universal Time.

Being a Vermonter I envy your southerly location! Get a good look at Omega Centauri for me this spring! :)
