Hi Cookie,

Congrats on the arrival of your new scope! I've had a 10" LX200 since just before the onset of winter and icy stairs have kept it grounded all season. Just a week ago I was able to drag it out over 200 yards of packed powder and wait 2 hours for it to acclimate - just in time for the clouds to move in! My poor-quality 8x40 binoculars have seen most of the action so far. There are definite virtues to a more manageable scope!
