: My elementary students wondered about some new findings posted by : Reuters where ultra hot gas was escaping from a black hole : at around twice the speed of light. They wondered: : 1. How ANYTHING can escape from a black hole : 2. How AnYTHING can go above the speed of light. : Any answers would be appreciated to explain these : phenomenon. ACCORDING TO EINSTEIN SPEED OF LIGHT CANNOT BE EXCEEDED.....HIS THEORY OF RELATIVITY HAS BEEN PROVEN MANY TIMES OVER THE YEARS.....HOWEVER, INSIDE A BLACK HOLE, LAWS OF PHYSICS DO NOT APPLY....ALL BETS ARE OFF AND ANYTHING GOES....SORT OF LIKE THE OLD WILD WEST |
