Action would seem to be kinked because it does not progress smoothly over time. As I understand things, energy must be conserved if all spacetime properties are homogeneous over time, including time. If time changes abruptly then there would be a kink in the smooth progression of Action and energy conservation can have been violated. But Action is a function of mass and time, so if something like the weak nuclear force comes along and makes an abrupt change in mass by converting kinetic energy good in only one frame of reference into mass good everywhere, then there would also be a kink in Action. If Least Action is the other side of the coin from Most probable Path, (Eddington), then the weak nuclear force seems to violate our reality when it violates our energy conservation. I can only think of these things conceptually so I need your feedback to better define the problem - G potential adds to original neutrino energy then becomes rest mass. |
