Thank you for the reply. My only problem in trying to balance the books energy wise is that I do not know what account to debit for the energy derived from the gravitational potential. An energy difference between two points in a gravity field would not seem to be able to be transported intact anywhere in the universe without leaving something depleted by that much energy behind. Yet the gravitating body undergoes no change if that piece of energy is removed so the gravity field should have suffered no loss of strength. I am referring here to the blueshift portion of a neutrino's kinetic energy gained from the gravitational potential, not to relativistic mass inflation.
