There is one thing that troubles me about the currently accepted state of thinking on the notion of time. I don't want to get into a long drawn out story of my deductive reasoning and details, but I believe that time is quantized. Because space and time are one and the same I believe space to be quantized also. With this notion, I am asserting that this warp drive you speak of is impossible because you can't have an infinitessimal deviation in the spacetime "ruler". I hope you know what I mean by "ruler", the marking lines on this ruler are the smallest possible units of measurement in space and time that can be applied to an event in the universe. For back up on my theory, I think the uncertanty principle is one consequence of quantized spacetime.
