: How would one define the event horizon to a bunch of ignorant fools It is the point at which the escape velocity needed to overcome the gravitational potential of an object equals the speed of light in vacuo. As nothing can exceed the speed of light then gravity wins and you can never escape the objects gravitational field. Or more simply, the point of no return. |
