An Entity Does Not Magically Change

The answer is no. the de Broglie equation will always yield a wavelength for the entity.

(Please define how you have determined a differential velocity.
Is the entity velocity with respect to you causing you to be the second entity?
As you can see the velocity is always with respect to a second entity.
You can not have a single entity with a velocity because it is not moving with respect to itself.)

but this is in error. if you apply the de Broglie equation you still are yielded a wavelength for either entity.

(There is only one velocity between two entities. The wavelength given is only useful if the encounter is a wave interaction in which case it defines their motion.
If the encounter is a collision then the calculated wave length is meaningless.

Perhaps this will help

The entity must contain both particle and wave to exhibit both properties.
I do not know how you define particle, above a certain density limit perhaps or at a certain corresponding wavelength?

Regardless the entity does not magically transform itself from one to another.
The entity has both properties.

Lets assume it has a dense core and a surrounding field.

An entity can be in two encounters at the same time each with a different opponent.
One encounter can be a wave diffraction encounter and the other a particle collision encounter if the differential velocities with the opponent entities are appropriate and the masses are all equal.

The first opponent approaches slowly and is redirected by the field interaction in a specific way dependent on wave interaction.

The second approaches fast and the dense cores interact and or the fields interact in a way that causes energy release.

I did not mean that this is how the entity must be configured but proposed this as an analogy.
