Tantalizing questions you raise! My poor comment:
It is not only YES or NO but HOW the exception
occurs that will evolve the theory. In the million years to come, it doesn't matter if it is called Relativity forever. It is like all human science on a frontier...
whether modified or not, new equations WILL change what it means.
