Freefall Velocity

At the event horizon, space itself is freefalling at the speed of light in the distant reference frame. Therefore the freefalling observer is infalling faster than the speed of light in the distant frame, but less than 2c which is the speed of inward light in our frame. I suspect that the observer would however approach the 2c speed as he is falling in a vacuum. Has anyone ever calculated that speed? |
