I'm aware of the emergence of the electromagnetic force when GR is solved in higher dimensions. But my question is, what if we solve it in higher temporal dimensions, rather than spatial? Has this ever been considerred by physicists? Why not have an extra curled up time dimension that is an extra degree of freedom? Just like with curled up spatial dimensions, you are never aware that you can go backward and forward in time in this new exotic time dimension, because we are many times larger than the radius of the curl. What would be the implications and consequences of solving GR in higher time dimensions: (2+2 dimensional spacetime) or (3+3 Dimensional spacetime) as opposed to our regular 3+1 spacetime, with the +1 of course taken to mean one time dimension?
