Very appropriate for this forum. Black holes have a horizon where light cannot escape. I have always presumed that is because space is being absorbed through the horizon at the speed of light. Someone please correct this impression if incorrect.

The point here is that the gravitational effects of the mass of the black hole is experineced outside of the horizon. So something, sometimes called virtual gravitons, must be connecting the inside to the outside.

I too would like to understand how this can happen.
