Rather than try to understand why don't you concentrate on the definitions and try to discern how much of what you believe you believe is hyper hypotheses.

What I am trying to tell you is that nothing (including the maths) is likely to be true if it is based on calculations that are themselves based on theory.

If you would like to sharpen your wits try reading up on the background to the symbol "t" in astrometry calculations.
