RE: * It is not enough to believe that Jesus was God or capable of granting you salvation. That's much too easy and really just the first step. *
I agree that it is just the first step, but it is the ONLY step needed for salvation.
I agree that it “seems” much too easy to the wise. (Corinthians 1:17)
RE: * If you do not also believe in what he teaches and keep all the commandments he taught you to keep, you will not get salvation. *
This is incorrect in the Christian view. You get salvation the moment you ask Him to come into your heart and save you, but … the process of sanctification (learning to keep His commandments) is a lifelong process and will continue until we are glorified with Him. (Romans 8:17)
RE: * All will get into heaven *
Where do you find this teaching ? This goes against what Jesus taught. (John 5:29)
Belief is in the person of the Lord Jesus Christ.
It is a relationship, not a discipline of teachings.
RE: * If your earthly life is satisfying to you and to Jesus, you will be given salvation *
This is NOT the Christian view. There is nothing that we can do in this life to be found satisfactory for salvation. ALL our righteousness is as filthy rags. The ONLY way we can be saved is to place our TRUST in Jesus alone for what He did for us.
RE: * Then you will enter another cycle of birth and death but now on a spiritual plane *
Curious… You live and die seven times ? What happens after the seventh ?
RE: * It is not a gift that you do not earn both by good works and belief. *
This is diametrically opposed to the teachings of the Old Testament and gospel of Jesus Christ. How can you earn something with filthy rags ? (Isaiah 64:6) |
