aHere, ill talk about the neutral force of gravity. I think you were talking about at one point why celestial bodies orbit others, and arent just pulled in. Well, according to relativity and other theoretical physics, massive bodies create a 4-dimensional depression in the space time continuum. So, as a body moves through space, it gets caught into this spherical depression. The body still wants to go in a straight line, and the fastest way across a sphere is a curved line, and, it being unable to leave the gravatic depression, simply moves in a curved line. Now, its distance from the other body depends on its distance from it as it entered the "gravity well".

If there was ether, than all of the celestial bodies would simply be unmoving, and an equal distance from the body that they orbit.

Also, do you believe in infinite time and/or space in the universe? Tell me what you believe.
