| Mirror Grinding

I want to try grinding 8" mirror for a dobsonian. I've got several step-by-step txts on how to do it. They all suggest buying a mirror grinding kit, but I am able to get all I need elsewhere. I've decided to use #80,#120,#220,#500,12micron and 9micron grits, but I don't know how much I need for grinding one mirror. Can anyone tell me how much the kits contain of each of the grit-sizes, or how much (high approx.) I need to grind a 8" mirror. Any help appreciated. -Håvard |
