Thanks for your help. Bob are you still interested in building a 4" f/10 refractor out of PVC tubing. If you are, don't unless the PVC is the right ID. I used 4" ID PVC tubing, but my lens cellk, which inserts into the tube, is 4.25" ID. I spent about 12 hours cutting out the inside of the tube, when I could have spent a little more money, and bought an aluminum tube with the right diameter, and saved myself teh trouble of modifying it. If you have finished it, how do you like it? I may try building a 6" refractor after I'm finished. |
