Hi - I am a machinist and have recently machined a lot of parts for a friend's telescope. I would now like to make one. The most expensive part will be the objective lens. I have searched and searched the internet and have checked with Edmund Sci. and the local camera shops without much luck. I can get a 3" achromat from Edmund for $100.. I would like a 4" but I would be interested in anything in the 3-5" range. I found a 4" projector lens at a surplus store but the lens has an imperfect radius. Thanks - Ian Stringer.
