I would like to build a reflector telescope for birdwatching purposes , I would like the length to be approx. 15” with a 6” mirror. Am I right in thinking the mirror required to do this would
1. Be very difficult to grind or
2. Very expensive to buy ?
(Also am I right in thinking that the image produced by a reflector is superior to a refractor?)

Many thanks
