I am looking for alternatives for mirror blanks. My theory is that pre cut mirror blanks have been produced for another reason, paperweights, traffic light lenses, portholes, etc.

I have been quoted $200+ for a 150mm x 25mm piece of glass. One article i read stated that the blanks recieved had concentric rings on the back of the glass which leads me to believe the blanks were produced for something else.

If anyone knows a source for cheaper glass blanks, please let me know.
