Your turned up edge is due to using to short a stroke and this is not uncommon. Lengthen the stroke, work tool on top and check after ten minutes. DO NOT GO BACK TO POLISHING PADS.

You should see change in the turned up edge very quickly but since you have a couple of hours polishing it in, it may take a while to correct. Check frequently though, about every ten minutes of polishing with the longer (2-1/2" to 3" overhang). When the turned up edge starts to go away, you can start to alternate tool on top with mirror on top but keep the lengthened stroke. Press between every polishing stint and you should have a good fully polished sphere in no time at all.
