ok Bob, i changed the stroke lenght, and did some different width W's, still have not got edge completely polished out, but much better....so i did focault test last night, and, i now have three depressions, the center one, 1/2" radius (which did not noticably change), plus another one with less depth then the center out to 1-1/2" radius and yet another, less then the one before, about 2-1/2" radius or so, the central one is deep compared to the other two, but it is in a zone where it should not make any difference, seems different strokes with the pads really do a lot of strange things to the glass, in your opinion, what would best adavance my polishing the outer edge of this 10" mirror without to drastically messing up the figure of the mirror, in laymans terms, what would you now do,should i continue with center over center 1/4 strokes again, or try something else...dont get me wrong, every polishing atempt does improve the outer edge, but i never thought it would be this slow.....
